Are we still here?

Well, that is an interesting question.

I am working hard, and have now gotten a temporary job, os things will slow down a little.

There are, as you may have figured out, several projects on the go, as well as wrestling with work and the Job Centre.

I decided that in order to attempt to motor through the current typing project, I legged it off to one of the two local Starbucks, with my laptop, and a ream of pages that need typing up.  I found that I make great progress that way, especially as there is no TV to distract me.

Well, enough distractions here…  I am still going on, hopefully, more updates and progress reports to come soon!

The Grey Book and The Men of Hwitern UPDATE

On the advice of our Ape, I have decided to pull back the digital copies of The Men of Hwitern, ready for the release of The Grey Book, and it is part of that novel.

It is still available on Amazon, at a much reduced price, and the print options are still available, for those who would like it, but they are already at minimum price.  Therefore, if you have purchased a copy of The Men of Hwitern and would like to upgrade to The Grey Book, upon release, please contact me.

I am still beavering away on these projects, and a new project as well, this time some Science Fiction.

Legends of Windemere

A change of plans with the giveaway, which effects my fellow authors if they wish:

Danielle Taylor showed me that getting other authors to donate free books as prizes along with their Twitter and Facebook info will help spread the word.  It will also help other authors get something out of this event.

If you’re interested, please send me the following either in the comments or by email some time today:

  1. Title of the book that you wish to donate as a prize.  Please include format.
  2. Facebook Author Page.
  3. Twitter Site.

The contest will go until February 28th and you’ll be contacted about who the winner of your book is along with an email address.  Thank you to anyone who wishes to be a part of this event and I apologize for the short notice since the contest starts tomorrow.

The Grey Book

I have finished both the Red Pen Edit, and incorporating the changes and edits as well as minor formatting changes.

The manuscript has been sent off for the Ape’s highly valued opinion.  Therefore, the only thing I can do for now is to wait, and see what changes I need to make, and whether the work is as good as I hope 🙂

Over to you Chris 🙂

UPDATED: Released on Amazon Store.

Now, before they think you’ve gone off your rocker, remember this is the draft post.

Well, the “first” piece of work that I started in Dad’s rememberance was Patterns of the Mind.

This came back today from my proof reader.  A very close friend of mine, who I have known for years.  For some reason (and luckily for me) he decided to print it out and write on it with PEN!  I know, such an ancient way!  Anyway, he mailed the manuscript back to me today and I was able to make the needed changes, and it is now sitting in pieces on the Smashwords Website, and pending review through KDP.

Yes, this is where I got the idea of printing out “The Grey Book” from.  My word is it working well.  I am motoring through making the changes and notes I need to much faster and more accurately than I would be able to just reading it on the comp screen again.Image

After running a test print, on standard paper, with standard ink, this combo really did work well, even with the dodgy bleeds due to being an inkjet printer on cheap paper.

Hopefully, you will enjoy this piece as much as I did.

Noo….. Don’t press the publish button yet, you don’t have a title….. Too late…. *facepalm*

Updated: – Live on Amazon store Now, and hopefully distributed through Smashwords soon.
