Thanks and Sorry

Inadequate Thanks…

It is genuinely impossible for me to express my thanks to all those who have given me their support during this period of illness.  Special thanks have to be sent to Chris (The Story Reading Ape), who has kept the blog ticking over excellently, despite the demands of his own blog and other online activities!

Sadly, there is no sign of an early recovery but I’ll take the liberty of remaining optimistic!  To give you some idea of the state of affairs, I started composing this post back on Friday of last week!  Focussing is a major problem, especially with narcoleptic episodes every time I start writing…

And Apologies…

If you experience a delay in receiving a response to using the blog’s general contact form, I can only apologise.  Equally, if you have emailed me directly, the same applies.  I’m afraid that I’m only online for very brief periods and do what I can, but that’s precious little.  Obviously, the number of unhandled emails rises every day, and it’s rapidly reaching a point where I can no longer promise to catch up with old emails.  If you are waiting for a reply, I can only suggest that you wait until my return is announced and then trying again – if it’s urgent.  Clearly, it will take a bit of time for me to deal with those things others can’t.  I wish I could give you some idea of how long you may have to wait, but I’m afraid I can’t.  It could be weeks.  I’m hoping that it’s not months, as it was the first time around…

About Steve

An author since the age of 13 years, writing again dominates my activities. My "Imagineer-ing" blog is my primary site. Also: Beginner knitter since November 2010. Favourite knitting techniques: cable and lace. Beginner cross stitcher. Beginner jewellery maker. With the promotion of self publication and all the other work that has been going on here, Dad decided around 2am this morning (22/11/2013) that it was time to begin his next adventure. He was seen off earlier the previous evening by myself, my brother, my sister in law, and my sister, as well as his wife (our mum), and an enigmatic being known only as A Lorraine. After this time of story telling, laughing, crying, joking and mickey taking, we saw how tired both mum and dad were, and we decided to leave them under the (sometimes) gentle care of The Lorraine. When Dad found the timetable for his travels, he let Mum know gently, which woke her from her drowsing, then, with the same gentleness he showed in this universe, he boarded his favourite mode of transport, the Interdimensional Steam Train, and set off with a smile and a wave. For those of us closest, that smile was a reminder that his pain has ended, and the wave, an indicator that he will pop in to all those that knew him, from time to time. Usually at the most inconvenient and in opportune moments he can. While we are sad that he is no longer here, we are happy he now has no pain, and is experiencing more extraordinary things that his writers mind will be frantically weaving into a new story. 1. Dearest Steve,
So sorry that you are having a difficult time, and there is absolutely no need whatsoever to apologize for being sick. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and hope that you have a speedy recovery. Do not worry about your blog . . . Chris is doing an excellent job of keeping folks posted. You focus on getting well. /|\

  2. Just starting to follow you blog, I am sorry to hear that you are ill and wish you a timely recovery. No need to apologize, but it was thoughtful…and Chris…whoever you are…you rock! (No pun intended). Everyone needs someone to help them out when it can’t be done alone.
