Update and Menus

I’m happy to say that my sister is now home from hospital, and neck deep in her family member, who have rallied round magnificently.  It transpires that the primary problem was a liver infection, which is eminently treatable.  It’s obviously a huge relief to us all.  Obviously, I’m still loaded with stress-related chemicals so  it may take me a day or two to return to normal and get back up to speed.  I would like to reiterate my sincere appreciation for the overwhelming support that I, and my family, received during this crisis!

Menu Changes

I should have mentioned this before.  In fact I did report part of it via Facebook, but I never posted it where it really matters!

The menu at the top has acquired a couple of extra entries.  First, there’s an option under Works by Steve K Smy > Published works > G1: The Guardians – namely: G1: The Guardians Background.  This is fairly self-explanatory.  It provides a way to summon up a full list of posts on the background of the series.  Second, there’s an option under Reviews, Interviews and Other Feature Posts > Feature Posts – namely Pie’s Thoughts, which takes you to a list of all posts featuring the popular ruminations of Pie, thanks to Kandy Kay Scaramuzzo.

I hope these help to enhance your experience of the blog!

About Steve

An author since the age of 13 years, writing again dominates my activities. My "Imagineer-ing" blog is my primary site. Also: Beginner knitter since November 2010. Favourite knitting techniques: cable and lace. Beginner cross stitcher. Beginner jewellery maker. With the promotion of self publication and all the other work that has been going on here, Dad decided around 2am this morning (22/11/2013) that it was time to begin his next adventure. He was seen off earlier the previous evening by myself, my brother, my sister in law, and my sister, as well as his wife (our mum), and an enigmatic being known only as A Lorraine. After this time of story telling, laughing, crying, joking and mickey taking, we saw how tired both mum and dad were, and we decided to leave them under the (sometimes) gentle care of The Lorraine. When Dad found the timetable for his travels, he let Mum know gently, which woke her from her drowsing, then, with the same gentleness he showed in this universe, he boarded his favourite mode of transport, the Interdimensional Steam Train, and set off with a smile and a wave. For those of us closest, that smile was a reminder that his pain has ended, and the wave, an indicator that he will pop in to all those that knew him, from time to time. Usually at the most inconvenient and in opportune moments he can. While we are sad that he is no longer here, we are happy he now has no pain, and is experiencing more extraordinary things that his writers mind will be frantically weaving into a new story. 1. I am so happy to hear your sister is home and on the road to recovery. So glad it is something someone can recover from. I’m also glad to hear that your family is rallying around to help. I bet you are on the road to recovery now. I’m so happy for you.

    • Thanks 🙂 There is never a day when we think about the fact that we’re all getting older – until these things happen and the horrible truth is screamed in our faces 😦
